Public Policy Specialist, NITI Aayog, Government of India
Urvashi is a Public Policy Specialist in the Office of the Vice Chairman, NITI Aayog, the Indian Government’s Premier Think Tank. She is a co-author of India's 3-year Action Agenda document that details key policy actions required in the major economic and social sectors. Urvashi is also part of India's task force for overseeing the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals. She was a member of the delegation that presented India’s first Voluntary National Review during the High-Level Political Forum on Sustainable Development at the United Nations Headquarters. Urvashi previously led the health, water and sanitation portfolio of the Michael & Susan Dell Foundation in India. She has also as a consultant for the World Health Organisation and with the Partnership for Child Development, Imperial College London. Urvashi is a World Economic Forum Global Shaper. She completed her Bachelors in Genetics from University of Birmingham followed by an MPhil in Bioscience Enterprise from University of Cambridge and an MSc in Public Health from the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine.
