GapSummit 2016 is fast approaching. GBR is pleased to introduce you to Victor Bustos, one of the 100 bright young Leaders of Tomorrow who will converge on the University of Cambridge this April.
Victor obtained his B.Sc. in Biology at the Universidad Nacional de Colombia in Bogotá. Directly afterwards, he was accepted to the International Max Planck Research School with a fellowship to pursue a Master’s degree in Molecular Biology in Göttingen, Germany.
Due to his keen interest in ageing research, upon completion of his M.Sc. he joined the laboratory of Prof. Linda Partridge, Director at the Max Planck Institute for Biology of Ageing in Cologne, Germany. There, Victor is currently conducting his doctoral project for which he was granted a prestigious PhD fellowship from Boehringer Ingelheim Fonds, a highly competitive award selected from around 600 researchers.
Watch Victor talk about why he decided to apply to the GapSummit in the video above and the strengths and challenges he sees in both the biotech industries of Colombia and Germany.
We look forward to welcoming Victor and the other Leaders of Tomorrow to the GapSummit 2016.
